It's not "official" yet, but I got an e-mail from Keith of H. A. A. G. (Houston Area Arcade Group) this morning, since things aren't completely finalized just yet. I assume things have been rough, due to how late it is (they've always had their shows during the summer), plus prices have been bumped up to $15 a day, or $25 for a weekend pass (normally it's $12/20), plus the hotel has new owners, as they've had to fix up a lot of rooms (? Some Katrina evacuees trash the place?) and they're "99.99%" sure they'll have their liquor license by then, but if not, they're asking people to buy soft drinks and beer and all to help pay for a caterer. But they're still trying to get a few more sponsors for the show...however, since one guy already sent me an e-mail reply promising to sponsor it a few hours later, that might be a good sign (uh, I don't have anything to do with the show, dude...you're responding to everyone here).

So if anyone wants to sponsor, it's only $75, plus you get all kinds of deals with that sponsorship. If anyone's interested (who's personal business isn't related to arcade game selling), you can contact Keith at expo@arcadecenter.com.

Added to the calendar with the details (I'll probably have to edit it in later days) in regards to the games that are set on free play for the whole weekend. Watch their website at www.arcadecenter.com for their "official" announcement, and what games that will be there and all.

It's official now! The dates are Dec. 1-2, just waiting for a list of games that will be there :) Just check www.arcadecenter.com for when the list of games comes up, sometime in the near future.

H. A. A. G.'s currently going pretty well, I just got back from a few hours of playing and taking pictures. I'll have several arcade games for the database, not sure which ones yet, since I have to sort through a BUNCH. Got doubles of many machines, so I won't have repeat ones for my article on The Atari Times and here, since that's a no-no. I'll put some up in a few days for a sneak peek, but I'll take them down once the article goes up, of course.

Best Photo of the Night: a guy that I made stand in front of the Atari Star Wars arcade machine...wearing a Nintendo t-shirt :D

Uploaded five pictures thus far. I'll be taking more tomorrow.

Got a picture of the ORIGINAL *PONG*, of all things. Something you don't exactly see real often! That sucker's pretty small too!

Well, even though the EXPO was fine, photos were disappointing, as I didn't know the camera was on the blink, so I barely got any pinball photos at all :( Photo after photo after PHOTO came out blurry. So that sucked. So the site only got 10 additional photos, no better than the dozen or so last year. Oh well, you just work with what you have...

Crap, photos aren't coming up; isn't that "[img][/img]" (replacing the brackets with the ones over the comma and period buttons)? Oh well, linky linky then...

Good grief, link isn't working either! Just copy and paste the damn thing: http://www.ataritimes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20
