Although we'll see the current-gen version of Assassin's Creed 4 now, Ubisoft showed off a new video showcasing the effects they can achieve in Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag on next-gen systems. In addition to incredible new water simulation elements, there's a ton of lighting effects, and the foliage moves with the player. As you're hiding in the environment, you can see where you're at just by looking at how the leaves are moving.
There are also a ton of new weather effects in this demo. Simulations detailing how the rain reacts with the ground compliment the thousands of individually lighted rain drops falling through the sky. Wind, rain, lightning, fog, and other effects combine to create very realistic weather in Black Flag.
